Season 11
time to get the train chugging from the station...
Next week on the 23rd at 8:30pm same as always, we will be starting our 11th seasons "pre season testing" at Austria with the following week being at France.
For these tests we will be running 50% test races, these sessions will include full qualifying conditions as well as forcing all drivers to use the medium compound in Q2 (tyre you'll be starting the race on) as overall quali and race pace needs to be monitored, and it's hard to do so if people are on different compounds/tyres that fall off the cliff at very different stages.
With that in mind that means you have two options for banker laps in Q2, you can set one on the softs and wait for the last 3 minutes of the session (as the track is rubbered in the most toward the very end) and belt out your flying lap on the mediums. Option one is to just run normal quali fuel levels, but run no deployment on the ERS.
Then go full deployment on low fuel for your best lap, or option two, fill up with alot of fuel and set a banker on the softs with full ERS deployment then go out at the end of the session and belt out a flying lap on low fuel on the mediums either one is up to you. The examples i've given just gives you more delta to work with and less to worry about, in the end you decide how you go about it, as long as your lap on the mediums is flat out in Q2 and at the optimal rubbered in part of the session all is good.
Q3 will be just like real life an all out brawl, taking place on the softest compound to see who has what it takes to get pole position!
I wanted to do this earlier but because of typical bellwhistles in trials, for both 2019 classics and 2021, things got a little out of my hands it couldn't be helped.
Races are held every week on Thursdays at 8:30pm GMT/BST. Lobbies open at 8:30pm, and qualifying starts at 8:40pm.

Please keep in mind that these placements are an ever evolving thing and that if needed, changes will be made as quickly or often as necessary. However, despite the changes made we will always give everyone more than enough of a heads up for them to practice in their new machinery. (unless something is keeping the admin team busy, as life does get in the way sometimes) if you have been placed in a car that slightly puts you off the pace it's usually down to the fact that drivers who have been here longer than you take higher priority, though this is very rare in itself.
